We visit you

We offer animal assisted therapy, animal assisted interventions and animal assisted education. Our volunteers visit people in their own homes, hospitals, care homes and schools to support people through activities, education and professional therapy with the help of our dogs. Animals can provide a sense of calm, comfort, or safety and divert attention away from a stressful situation and towards one that provides pleasure. Developing a bond with an animal can help people develop a better sense of self-worth and trust, stabilise their emotions, and improve their communication, self-regulation, and socialisation skills.

All the volunteers and their dogs have completed a high standard of training and assessment

Dogs for Health work closely with Sharon at Frome K9 where all our dogs are assessed
